Our smiles are how we greet the world. When people have crooked teeth, they often feel self-conscious & uncomfortable at school & work. Patients start orthodontics with low self-esteem & a reluctance to engage with their peers.
As they see their teeth start to move into proper position, these people begin to feel better about themselves. They make eye contact & walk taller. Best of all, they start to talk happily & laugh with others, & to share their smile. By the time they finish, each is a new person: smiling with confident ease!
Dr. Won Chaekal is passionate about the lasting difference orthodontic care makes. Although many think of braces as being all about smiles, the reality is that properly positioned teeth improve oral health & make it easier to keep your teeth & gums healthy & clean. Orthodontics also means better function & less strain on the jaw, which lessens the likelihood of TMJ-TMD in the future.

Each year, Dr. Chaekal completes many hours of continuing education in Hawaii & abroad. Orthodontics is constantly evolving & she uses the best technologies & techniques available. These make the orthodontic experience as effective & comfortable as possible for her patients.
Dr. Chaekal is an Elite Preferred Provider for Invisalign® treatment (reserved for the top 1% of providers nationwide) since 2008 & a Pacific Northwest Regional Leader. She is one of only a handful of women in the world to have earned this title. She has successfully treated more than 1,000 patients with Invisalign & can accomplish outstanding results!

Beyond the Office
After growing up in Korea, Dr. Chaekal calls Honolulu her home. Her husband is Dr. Michon Morita & she is Mom to two beautiful children. Being with her family is important to her & she enjoys playing the piano too.
